Five Day Camp Starts Aug 22 - Aug 26

Meets 9am - 11am

Ages 8 & up

Day 1)

• Safety Rules and Equipment Selection.
• Recurve Bow.
• Compound Bow.
• Shoot.

Day 2)

• Review Safety Rules.
• Crossbow.
• Practical Exercise of All Bows.
• 3-D Shooting.

Day 3)

• Bow Hunting.
• State Rules and Equipment Selection for Hunting.
• Clothing Selection.
• Tree Stand or Blind Selection.
• Tree Stand Safety.

Day 4)

• Bow Fishing (Bring Boots).
• Archery and Water Safety.
• Basic Shooting Fundamentals.
• Types of Bows and Reels Used.
• Shoot in Pond.

Day 5)

• Class Overview.
• Questions and Answers.
• Shoot for Fun! Students Choice!

Wixom lake 7-29 report

Last night we went to wixom lake, which is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots. We ran into a problem that is a great one to have, we called it a night early because we ran out of places to put fish! The barrel and the live well were both full! 22 was our final count but every fish was over 10lbs and I would estimate the average to be 15lbs. Seasons coming to an end fast, get out there and aim low while you can.

July 15th - Saginaw Bay

The Bowfishing Team made it out to the Saginaw Bay on Friday July 15th for a GREAT TIME!  They ended up shooting 22 fish including a 40 inch Gar.

Looks like lots of fun.... Great Job!

Ross lake report 7/12

HHS bowfishing team member Wade Huneycutt introduced a couple friends to night time bowfishing. Ross lake was a little slow but we still managed to get 5 carp. Looks like we have a few more addicts to the bowfishing sport now.
